There are few boards with a past as romantic as that of old oak wine press boards.
There are few boards with a past as romantic as that of old oak wine press boards.
In the late 19th century, large wooden wine presses were used to make wine.
A large heavy beam was used to squeeze the juice from the grapes and this juice was collected in a container made of oak planks: the wine press boards.
Fortunately, these wine presses can still be found, but if they are scrapped, we are happy to find a new owner for this beautiful wood.
The specimens in our collection are mainly of French origin and have acquired a unique look thanks to their age and use.
Thanks to the large dimensions, these old oak planks are extremely suitable for processing into a sturdy bar or robust dining table, for example.
